I think it means that if you hang out with the wrong crowd of people you will do either bad get arrested or even die so ctr always. For example i once choose to hangout with the wrong crowd like jumping the school and i almost got in trouble but my other friends did so that means that could've been me but lucky it wasn't so next time i will ctr and not hangout with them because i could either lose my life or even get arrested and my parents will be so mad and i don't want them to be mad at all i am ctr and will improve on what how my parents did. Another example is my dad's friend choose the wrong by hanging out with this guy who did drugs and then he went to his house and got shot and died for hanging out with the wrong crowd so ctr. And a companion of fools means that the people who choose the wrong will either de get arrested or be destroyed
